Handmade collage artworks transformed into quirky prints and cards.

Alongside my day job as a Primary school teacher, am a nature-loving, cat-cohabiting, quirky-minded, self-taught collagist. I love leafing through all manner of print material - vintage magazines, text books, antique postcards, glossy fashion mags and catalogues - and letting my eyes draw me to colours, shapes, patterns and faces. I cut these out by hand, using a trusty pair of tiny scissors and a sharp scalpel, before recombining them to create new images. What emerges can be humorous, quizzical, brooding, liberating and occasionally quite dark. My subconscious seems to bring out recurring themes around identity, urban nature, environment, cycling, cities and cats. All my works are entirely handmade and nothing is digitally manipulated. I am open to questions and feedback about my work and gladly take on commissions.

Please note that I always endeavour to use copyright-free material or to change imagery drastically, so that the fragments of original content are no longer recognisable and the overall intent is significantly different.
