Beautiful knitwear and handspun jewellery inspired by the landscape and seascapes of the wild British Isles

I live a slow, simple life in my home-on-wheels travelling around the British Isles and designing and making knitted accessories from Scottish lambswool. I hand-knit hats, wristwarmers, headbands and hot water bottle covers to keep heads, hands and bodies warm and cosy, whether you're on the adventure of a lifetime, or popping to the shops! Stravaig knits are lightweight and warm, great for year-round use.

I also handspin yarn with fleece from rare British sheep breeds to make my Spindrift seashell pendant necklaces. Each necklace is unique and made from natural fibres that I have processed and spun by hand using the ancient craft of drop spindle spinning.

Everyday I'm inspired by natural landscapes and seascapes to create, learn and explore. If I'm not knitting or spinning, you'll find me out walking in the woods foraging for wild foods, on the seashore collecting driftwood, or in my van playing banjo! I write an online journal about my low-impact creative life on wheels to inspire and support others to live simply and deeply, whether in one place or on the road.
