Emergency Suregeon by night, by day crafting to help those in need

Hi, Kat here. Here, at Sitta Creates is my space to try all the crafts, to share the effects. But crafting for crafting sake is not the way. Art should be shared to bring inspiration and joy (and make space for more art!) so all I post here is looking for new homes!

A few disclaimers.

Firstly, nearly all of income I receive from every project, I will donate to a charity that works for cause close to my heart (which is animal suffering and Neonatal Intensive Care Units) . I’m fortunate enough to have a day job (more accurately, a night job as I work as an emergency veterinary surgeon) that pays my bills and with my passion I want to help people and animals. The only parts of income that won’t be donated, is a Folksy commission, the shipping costs and £1 per project I will set aside to buy more materials to make more project. If you are against that whole donating thing and you think it’s a popularity scam, then know it doesn’t affect whatsoever the quality of my project and please do treat me like you treat any other seller. But if you agree with what I do and you have some charity that you are passionate about, then let me know and maybe we can donate what you paid for my art to them.

Secondly, in the of sustainability, all painted glasses are packed using recycled/upcycled materials, which involves bubble wrap, grey paper and boxes received with other parcels adjusted to this project as well as handmade marbled packing paper- just because I wanted to try marbling as a craft as well and found this is a great opportunity. There might be time when I give up on all that extra effort and go with premade new packaging, but this time is not yet here.

Thirdly, all the painted glasses are, as all Folksy objects meant to be, handmade. That comes with little imperfections and general messiness only hand making can produce. I do try my projects to be as perfect as possible, but if your expectations are failed, please don’t shoot the artist! And pop me a message, we can see together if we can make things better!

So, come and join me on my crafting journey. I’m putting the kettle on, so we could share some hot cuppa on the way.
