You Remembered by Shop Reddish

Welcome from the Reddish Family of Makers and Engravers

Here is a little background on Netty, Marlene, and the entire Shop Reddish Family.

We have more than 10 years experience in laser engraving, sign making, and bespoke design services. We also offer creative workshops, wedding accessories, jewellery making, business-to-business marketing products, hotel and restaurant signs and displays, unique or specialty item engraving (even cheese wheels or footballs!). If you can dream it, we can make it.

Netty, Derbyshire born and bred, is the creative spark that powers the shine in our business. She is "Making Nelf" extraordinaire. Marlene is the finder of lost things and counter of beans.

Starting early in her craft career, Netty was Arts and Crafts Director for an American summer camp from 1994 to 1997. She loved the work and the children so much, she decided to become a Design Technology Teacher and earned a Bachelor of Education in Design Technology and English.

Still in love with the arts and creating, in 2008 Netty went on to earn Masters Degree in Metal and Jewellery Work at Sheffield Hallam University. During Netty's time at University, she had an idea for a design-and-make bus using her 1974 VW camper van. Netty turned that idea in to reality and used it to facilitate working with adults and children. Although the van has gone on to retirement, we still offer creative workshops for children or adults in our space at the Via Gellia Mills in Bonsall, Derbyshire or wherever you may be.

Marlene has an Honors degree in Psychology from Hunter College in New York City and is currently earning her MBA from Netty's alma-mater Sheffield Hallam University. Marlene is on track to receive a first-class degree. She has owned her own landscaping business in Pennsylvania and has 20+ years experience working as a paralegal in intellectual property law industry. Following her strengths, Marlene makes sure that the business ticks over the way a business should.

Netty still loves working with children and works as a Design Technology Teacher at a local high school in Chesterfield. She is also Forest Schools Trained and conducts Forest School type classes at the primary school level.

Netty and Marlene combined their skills and experience to build Shop Reddish. This is a family business. Everything is made with love. The money we earn supports our family -- buys clothes for our daughter and puts food on our table.

As we tell our daughter .... there really isn't anything you can't do. Just try.

Thank You for reading our story and Thank You for supporting Shop Reddish!
