Nature inspired oil paint mono prints

I studied art at Winchester School of Art and love mixing materials, colours and forms. I have always loved printing as it is a 'risky' form of creativity. No matter how much I plan, there is always the element of surprise. These prints were made during lockdown, with the garden as inspiration and listening to podcasts on climate change, making these images felt like a relief and a pure enjoyment in the process. Each image is made up of three to five different layers and the colours interact at times unexpectedly. Each layer takes between 5 and 7 days to dry, dependent on the weather and cannot be recreated.
