I use repurposed wood to make folding meditation Stools. Each one is unique and comes with a carry bag made from items bought in charity shops.

I love my meditation stools. I love that they are unique and personal and essentially a labour of love. When I retired a few years ago I needed a hobby and decided to make meditation stools like the one that had been gifted to me by a friend. I had no experience or skills in working with wood so I joined Belfast Tool Library and started my journey. I wanted to 'repurpose' pallet wood or wood I found in skips, broken furniture as wells items donated to me via social media. So each one is unique and if the wood has flaws I usually make an issue of it rather than hide or cover it up.They are not machine made and what I make depends on the wood available to me. I've learned to sew using a cheap sewing machine so each one comes with a carry bag made from fabric I find in charity shops. If you buy one please love it and look after it on its journey.
