Beautifully hand made dolls' dresses - Our Generation-Tiny Tears-Baby Born

I have always loved making dolls clothes, first back in the 1960s with left over bits of Crimplene from my Grandmothers' dresses, to during my A levels when Mother said it was the reason I failed Latin! I rediscovered my interest in it during Covid. I find it relaxing and creative. I hate throwing even the smallest scraps away so even tiny pieces of fabric are used.

I do have a problem in that I can't make the same item twice! I really enjoy the challenge of making reversible dresses and items so there are two outfits in one! Also in these reversible outfits there are no raw edges so the clothes last well. I make my own patterns for many of the clothes I make.

I tend to garden in the Summer and sew in the winter. I find myself thinking about how to make different styles of dresses at random times! We are a mother and daughter team. I love making the dolls' clothes but I am less confident with tech so my daughter in Newcastle is doing the selling for me.
