The Story Behind the Sketches
Welcome to my shop. I’m an artist living and working in the beautiful heart of the Scottish Borders.
My work is focused on capturing the essence of my subjects - whether it’s the quiet stare of a sighthound, a big snoot or a cheeky pair of "teefers," or the sweeping, moody silhouettes of the hills that surround me.
Why Originals? Every piece you see here is a one-off original. I believe there is a special energy in a hand-drawn line that a print can't quite replicate. My goal is to create art that feels personal, authentic, and ready to find a spot in your home.
When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me and my trusty studio assistant (my whippet boy Oban) out and about with my sketchbook, finding inspiration in the local landscape and the many 'long dogs' that call this part of the world home.
