Hello, I am Sarah Cook.

I am a photographer based near Aberystwyth in West Wales and here is a little bit about me and a few of the important things in my life.

Photography is my passion. Whether I am taking pictures for a client or for myself, there truly is nothing that I would rather be doing. I’m never very far away from a camera or my phone.

I have always been creative and had more than a keen interest in photography since my teens. I studied journalism at London College of Printing and, at that time, realised I had an eye for a shot and a love of the darkroom. Not long after this I found myself running the studio of advertising photographer, Gary Bryan in Central London. Little did I know then that this would provide a great base for my own business, Sarah Cook Photography. I then took a few years out to raise my family. I have two amazing kids. Within a few years I was drawn back to the world of photography. I soon enrolled myself at college, firstly in London and then in the United States, to learn my craft. I haven’t looked back since.

More recently my photography has taken me in a new direction. Together with my love for the natural world, I have been exploring the process of Intentional Camera Movement and Multiple Exposure in my personal work. Working with colour and texture I love the expressive creativity this abstract imagery produces.
