About StuwahaCreations

Expressing myself creatively gives me something to look forward to every day.

I am 37 years old and live in Scotland with my husband and our two daughters.

Like many other makers, I've been making things for as long as I can remember and over time I have become quite a prolific crafter.

The majority of my makes fall under the category of "alternative" I think.... which seems to encompass everything in the craft world that is a bit grungy or a bit pagan or that just isn't mainstream or bright and cheerful. I could argue however that my makes are fairly bright in their own way and undoubtedly cheerful, so I do walk my own path within that alternative category as I see it, which makes my work often a challenge to describe.

I love creepy dark things and morbid things, but I am also inspired by nature and motherhood and womanhood and the plethora of fantasy I have consumed over my many years of living. So what I do is I take all of these things, which are deeply a part of me and process them into the random and unique objects that I create.

Much like myself, they do not neatly fit in anywhere. They are just mine, and they are me and I very much enjoy the freedom of being able to bring them to life and then send them off into the world.

I know that the market I appeal to is a niche one, but these people are my people and they have a way of finding me, so long as I continue to put myself out there.

If you would like to see what I have been up to, or you are keen for a heads up on when new shop updates are happening then my Instagram is definitely the best place to check in! @stuwaha

I also have a YouTube channel that I add to periodically if you would like a closer look at some of the things I've created.
