While I do my best to show the true colours of my products, please be aware that colour can vary from screen to screen.
At present I am only showing postage to the UK.
Overseas customers are welcome to enquire about postage rates, these vary so much I prefer to get an actual price and do a custom listing. Overseas buyers should also be aware that they may incurr additional import fees such as customs duty, vat, etc and they are responsible for paying them.
Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
My love of working with my hands began long, long ago at my mother's knee. She was a seamstress and I "helped" to sew on buttons, hem handkerchiefs etc. all the while not realising the skills I was learning. Over the years I have created all manner of clothing and household items but, my favourites are still my quilts. All my quilting is done by hand but I do use my sewing machine for simple piecing and attaching the binding before sewing it down by hand on the reverse of the quilt.
Inspiration can come from anywhere, a tiled path, brickwork, road verges, coastal walks even a walk to the pub.
Nowadays I specialise in doll quilts, from 1:12 scale to larger pieces suited to old Victorian doll beds that would be found in the nursery.
Doll quilts can also be used as modern home decor when hung on walls or used as table centers, etc.
I use new and upcycled fabrics depending on the piece I am working on.
The quilt I am holding in the picture was inspired by my love of traditional Welsh quilts. It took over 100 hours to make and is hand pieced and densely quilted, no sewing machine was bothered in its construction!
I live in Harwich with my husband Geoff and our cat Dennis.
I am an accredited member of the Essex Craft Guild.
