Naturally dyed ethical yarns

All my skeins are ethical British yarns. I love the smell and feel of unadulterated proper wool so I source from a small company, they visit farms in person and stock quality mulesing free yarns.
My process:
I am trained in nutrition and herbs and love to use plants, berries and botanical extracts to dye my skeins. I wash the skeins first and then pop them in a bath to mordant so the colour will absorb and hold.
I make my owns dyes from foraged plants, flowers I've grown or dye extracts. I love the surprise of colour and that is what makes natural dyeing so magical. The colour can be manipulated by using various dyeing techniques giving you an unique product.
I love the whole process,it take time but the results make it worth it.
