Tapestry bobbins and needles from reclaimed wood.

I am an ex theatre carpenter, who went on to teach adults with special needs craft skills at Garvald Edinburgh. While there the Dovecot Studios asked us to make bobbins for them and as I was doing this I discovered that there were not many people doing this in the uk. So I thought I would fill the gap and make bobbins. The wood I use comes from two sources: things I find abandoned in the street and Move On Wood Recycling. This is a social enterprise that gives local people volunteering and employment opportunities, but also stops some wood from reaching landfill.
