After studying an Art and Design degree I fell into the world of advertising and publishing, working for Women’s magazines, a job I loved but it proved to be difficult to do when I became a mother so I was ready for a challenge that fitted around my family. It was a chance meeting with a lovely lady when I lived in Cambridgeshire that introduced me to the idea of running a small pottery business. I met her suppliers attended a course and me to do a course and so Pot-tastic was born! I can’t take the credit for the name – that was my lovely husband’s lightbulb moment! Both my son’s help me run events, come up with new ideas and increasingly as they get older, help me with the technology and social media side so it truly is a family business! I love creating unique and often personalised items and never tire of opening the kiln to see how creations have transformed during the firing process. I now live nestled in the Chilterns and I really feel so lucky and blessed to have found a career that I love. I hope you like my creations!
