Welcome to Paper Chain Lane!

We started making paper cut gifts for family and friends a few years ago and this is when our business was born! For the first 2 years we were known as Edwards Scissorhands and in 2017 become Paper Chain Lane, as we moved the business forward and expanded our product ranges, we needed a name that could evolve with us!

Paper Chain Lane is made up of myself, Paula, and my partner Steve and we make all our designs in our home near Manchester. I generally come up with the designs and Steve then transfers my jumbled thoughts into a design on the computer that we can then cut.

All our designs are shadow frames in that the paper cut design casts shadows on the coloured paper behind. We start the process by putting pen to paper and coming up with our design, this is then transferred onto the computer and then cut using our cutting machine. We then hand finish each cut with a craft knife before mounting it in the box frame.

We are passionate about providing different, affordable pieces for your home or as gifts. Most of our designs can be personalised but please message us if you have something specific in mind and we will try and work with you to create something that suits.

All of our products are made by us at home in a smoke free environment and a high standard and a quality finish is always at the forefront of everything we do.

Buying from me

All our items are made in our home studio in Urmston near Manchester. We aim to make your items within 3-5 days from ordering. Actual shipping times depend on the shipping method you choose at checkout.

All our papercuts are machine cut and then sandwiched between two acrylic sheets to give the impression the cut is floating. This creates shadows on the backing paper behind each design.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
