Buying from me
It is said that every story has a...beginning. And as the finite object and the artist are interdependent, the story of my jewelry is simple: it flows through my veins!
For centuries, women did what they knew best: worked with their minds and hands to make this and the future world a better and more beautiful place. The creative process was indissolubly linked to hand work, sewing clothes and decorating the house. I was lucky enough to grow up in a rural Romania where the craftsmanship of the embroidery, braid, crochet was still transmitted as natural as possible from mothers to daughters. My grandmother began to sew when she was 10 years old and continued all her life, my mother has over 30 years of experience as a seamstress ... and her daughter is a rebel because after trying all the other ones, she rediscovers and falls in love with a technique that was forgotten, the art of soutache.
Moreover, the soutache saved and enriched my life in a way that can not be explained. I firmly believe that handwork functions as a medicine for mind and soul. I perceive the entire creative process as a true catharsis. When I'm wandering in search for perfect beads or the precise cord color, when I'm drawing obsessively new models on everything I find around or staying still for hours until that pair of earrings that will not let me fall asleep for three days are completed, when I know that someone will smile, than I am my true self.
