About Oldcroft Crafts

Oldcroft Crafts

unique fabric crafts, from cushions to lampshades and lots inbetween

I have always had a passion for art and crafts and have been an avid crafter for many years.

I had a long career in interior design and soft furnishings but have now turned my soft furnishing studio into my new craft studio.

I moved to The Forest of Dean in 2020 and the area is a huge inspiration for my work. Along with a wonderful area for walking my dogs. I am also a keen gardener and find inspiration from my garden and nature in general.

Working in my garden studio, I am exploring many new mediums and techniques, I recently made a set of 4 handpainted glasses as a present, each one representing a season in the forest. I have unearthed all my old knitting needles and crochet hooks and am re-learning my wool skills.
However, for now at least, I seem to be drawn to fabrics and this is apparent in my initial items.

I try and use up-cycled fabrics and materials where possible and sustainable packaging.
