About Mysterious May Tree

Mysterious May Tree

I make decorative dolls taking inspiration from folklore and fantasy.

I have always loved to read, to let myself feel a part of another life or even world. My other passion is fabric and using it to create anything from a practical item of clothing to a fun project. I’ve always been a keen crafter and over time dabbled in lots of fields. As a mother and now grandmother I got a lot of pleasure from making items for play for children. Sone years ago I joined a group of like minded people and we met weekly to share and learn new crafts. Looking for an ideas I came upon fairies made from pipe cleaners. I loved making those and went on to work out other ways to make similar but rather more detailed figures. This together with my love of reading led to other figures and styles inspired by tales of fantasy and whimsy. The result is my little business Mysterious May Tree.
