Hi, I’m the creator behind Monty & Mabel Makes
So, who am I?
I'm Caragh, I've been a designer since 2015 and I also work in a local school as a qualified Emotional literacy support assistant since 2023 and Mum of 2 neurodiverse children since 2009 so I know the importance of being organised and feeling calm in a chaotic world especially when your family depends on it.
Monty and Mabel Makes is my creative outlet which I'm so pleased to share with you all.
So who are Monty and Mabel? Well not just a whimsical name for a shop, they are indeed my 2 kittens, brother and sister duo, they came into our lives after the loss of our beautiful cat Poppy passed away in November 2025, she was one in a million and always remembered, she may even yet feature in products. Monty and Mabel brought joy and chaos back to a difficult time in our lives and inspire me daily with their personalities.
Mabel is a petite and sweet little girl, very savvy, could find a treat hidden in the most inconspicuous of spaces, calm and collected and first to comfort in a crisis she runs the show.
Monty is fluffy and slightly chaotic little lad, chaos is his middle name and playing with everything and anything is his game.
Together with my passion for emotional literacy for all ages and creating a sense of calm in a busy world they help me create my products lovingly then made for you.
