I design and make jewellery using the wonderful array of modern arts and crafts materials that are available.

I've been designing and making jewellery for 30+ years. It all started when I ran a small centre for the disabled and we did a lot of crafts. On day I ordered some lacquer resin and we had a go at making flowers, they were bright and colourful. I loved it, so I bought some for myself and started making earrings. I began selling at car boot sales with these earrings and someone from a local crafts association saw them and suggested I apply to join, so I did and became a member of the Wye Valley Crafts Association. We ran Christmas shops and craft fairs and eventually opened a retail shop at Abbey Mill in Tintern. I then got selected to become a member of Platform One, an artisan group of artists and craftworkers based at The Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre in wonderful Wales. Inbetween shop manning duties I have attended larger craft fairs, including agricultural shows around the country.

I love experimenting with stuff and I did a lot of this playing with all the brilliant material that is available. I love colour and the mixes you can obtain by 'having a go just to see what happens' - which I think is my motto.
