• Founder Barnaby Thorn says “Growing up around Brighton and Lewes I have met some truly talented people who are passionate
about creativity and who are dismayed at the cynical commercialization of creative work. They care deeply about what they make
and are genuinely socially responsible. I set up ‘Manaca Products’ as a way of getting the lovely things produced by these
committed individuals out and under the spotlight.”

• As well as making their own bespoke gifts for any occasion, the company works with a group of local partners, ensuring that
everything they do is nourishing and sustaining the local community. Local artisans drop their goods off at Manaca’s studios near
Hassocks, and when they get an online order they deliver it to the customer and pass on payment to the supplier.

• The company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility shapes everything they do - from ensuring packaging is
biodegradable to designing their delivery services to minimise the numbers of trips they make, especially during busy periods.
