Hello, I'm Nina (Mrs Jones), for as long as I can remember I have immersed myself in a creative, wonderful world. From vivid memories of the paper and cardboard table at playgroup to completing an undergraduate degree in Surface Pattern, I have always surrounded myself with art, design, and a longing for "what can I make next?"
In 2012 I took my lifelong love of creating up a level and founded Made By Mrs Jones. Such was my love of making that initially I did not even know what I was going to make, the name of the business (and logo) came first!
The making of a rather last minute Valentine's gift (as a new mother of two) resulted in the creation of my first heart map artwork. Featuring sixteen places it captured significant locations of our family Army posting moves, places of birth, our wedding location, holidays and more. Taking pride of place on the wall it was spotted by a friend who commissioned two similar heart artworks to be made. Word spread, as did the requests, and so, as they say, the rest is history.
Opening my first online store 2013 allowed me to reach a much wider audience and as such the requests for map artwork featuring locations from all over the globe grew.
Ten years on, I am delighted to be able to be creative on a daily basis and to bring my collection to Folksy. Priding myself on excellent customer service, I am always happy to discuss and advise on your ideas prior to ordering. Whether you are looking for a simple style or a more detailed design the time and care that goes into each order remains the same. Each piece of artwork is made to your personalised requirements with the greatest care and attention of detail.
As a one-woman small business, orders are designed, made, photographed, wrapped and dispatched by me at my Wiltshire home studio. You will find me with a cup of the finest Yorkshire Tea not too far out of reach, with our black Labrador Willa, keeping me company whilst I work.
