I make clothes for dolls and teddies.

This started a few years back now. It started with my young Grandchildren, I bought them an 18”/46cm doll for Christmas, so I thought well I will make them some clothes for the dolls. That was the beginning. I found I liked doing it, so I made more. In the end they had enough, but I wanted to carry on making. It had become a hobby! I loved choosing fabrics and putting them together. I have a real passion for fabric!
I asked my older two Grandchildren if they thought I could sell them, together they both said “yes.” I started selling to friends and friends of friends. With both of my Daughters help I am on Facebook ( I started here) then onto Instagram, just this year. Now I have a Folksy shop after lots of shall I shan’t I, I decided to take the plunge.
In 2021 I sold at my first Christmas Fair, totally inexperienced. Someone came up to me and said “who are you?” I had no business cards, I was just giving it a go. I scribbled my email on a piece of paper. I knew I was going to need to be better prepared!
I now use our spare bedroom as a sewing room, I started in the kitchen. It’s never tidy. I have a few dolls now as models and lots of teddies. Most of those donated by the Grandchildren.

Lovely little bear outfit. My little boy has become attached to a bear that I had as a child but his tartan clothes had become a bit tattered and the elastic had gone. This smart little outfit has our teddy bear looking rather smart indeed. Postage and packaging was perfect. Thanks very much for making an old bear feel like new again xo

I was initially looking for dolls clothes, of which the two dresses I bought are truly beautiful! But I also fell in love with a pair of girls shorts, which look so lovely on her. All of the items are fantastically made and the fabric designs are so pretty! They arrived really quickly as well. Thank you so much!
