My name is Flick Whitehead, I am a Printmaker, Illustrator and Tutor. I run a small Art & Design business called Little Outhouse Prints from my studio converted from a 1950’s outhouse at my home in Oxfordshire.
The cards and prints in my Folksy Shop are my own artworks I create with love.....I also specialise in bespoke Signwriting & Murals, Commissions for pet portraits/houses/landscapes, designs for stationary/invites (weddings, birthdays etc.).
All my prints & designs are developed from my sketchbook work. My greetings cards are inspired by early 1900’s gift cards, traditionally sent as small artworks to keep loved ones connected. My screen prints are handprinted from hand drawn stencils to retain the texture and mark making quality of my drawings.
As well as working in my studio, I spend my time teaching and collaborating with Community Art Projects. I always have a sketchbook with me, so I can capture anything that inspires me, from architecture, people, animals and the beautiful countryside that surrounds me whilst I am walking my beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Wilbur.
