I make a variety of crocheted items

From a very early age I've had a fascination for handmade items via different methods. As a child i used to watch my nan and mom knit jumpers for both my dad and grandad. They also used to do a lot of hand embroidery on clothing and i wanted to join in too and asked them to teach me. From there i learnt knitting and embroidery.

Whilst at primary school a picture on a teachers desk caught my eye, it wasn't a painting but seemed to be made of thread, this was when i was introduced to cross stitching.

A few years later I learnt to sew and make my own clothes as I hated going shopping and having to try on many items before finding something i liked.

It wasn't until a couple of years ago I decided to learn to crochet too as i tended to get asked this and i always replied 'I can't' though I'd never tried.

Over the years i have made many an item and gifted to friends and family, whether it be a thank you present or to celebrate a birth.

With the encouragement from them I set up an Instagram account to show my makes.

When it came to deciding on a name, 'life of stitches' came to mind as i have spent my life learning and using different stitches, and items are taking shape/life from these very stitches, without them my makes would simply not exist.

At the age of 35, i now spend a lot of time looking after my daughter, and make whilst she naps. A lot of the time she is my inspiration and so my items tend to lean more towards girly colours/makes.

I make a wide range of items such as baby blankets, clothing, stuffed animals, bookmarks, nursery decor as well as eco-friendly everyday items, like face scrubbies, wash cloths, headbands and spa sets.
