I quit my job without a plan. Now I make pots without one (... a plan... or a job).

I'm Kimberley, and Kimbers Cinders grew out of my love of making things with clay. I started with adult education ceramics classes and got hooked. Since then, I've been making mugs, bowls, vases and whatever else takes my fancy.

I work with stoneware, experimenting with shapes, textures, glazes and earthy colours. Some ideas work out exactly as I imagined. Others take a different route, occasionally with a little help from the kiln.

Everything is handmade in small batches or as one-off pieces, so no two are exactly alike. I'm not trying to build a collection of identical pots or stick to one signature look. I'd rather keep experimenting and see where it takes me.

So that's the plan. Or lack of one.
