I learned to sew a long time ago and have been teaching others to enjoy stitching as much as I do for over 16 years. Although I do have teaching & stitching qualifications I feel my enthusiasm and enthusiasm to share and inspire stitchers is much more relevant.
I prefer to call it inspiring and coaching rather than teaching as it is always a joint journey with people who are also keen to learn a new skill or to enhance what they already know. the best thing about what I do now are the people I meet. I made my first bear when I was about 6 or 7 and no I am not saying how long ago that was!
I have my own light and well equipped studio which I use for classes - so if you want to make a bear with me the groups are small to give you plenty of individual attention. f you would like to make a Heirloom, collectors bear then you can choose your own style or go with one of my kits knowing that if you need help I have the experience in bear making to help -
I think I have a mix of quirky and traditional style - some of my bears are traditional but then some have additions like a muti coloured mohican!. My patchwork is the same I go from traditional to modern designs
