Hello!
I'm Kat and I love making pictures by carving into a piece of lino. Inspiration is all around me and in my head. I love animals and children's books, old houses, big hills and swimming in very cold water. The Czech Republic is where I grew up and I'm told, my work looks very European! I blame the amazingly creative and quirky animated stories I used to watch as a child. Having two girls myself, I work mostly in my garden studio, with a lazy Spot, the whippet and even lazier Buffy, the cat. Occasionally, I venture out to run a small linocut workshop in Yardley Arts centre in Yardley Hastings. Before Christmas, you can find me selling my open edition prints, greeting cards and hand crafted shrink plastic jewellery at an art fair or two.
