I paint the wild coastline of the North East of England!

I live on the coast in the North East of England, where a beautiful seaside town meets the wild and wonderful North Sea. We have spectacular beaches, wild coastal walks and glowing sunsets. I work predominantly with oils pastels, though to keep the creative brain fresh I regularly venture into the worlds of oil paint, watercolours, acrylics and mixed media.

I have painted ever since I was a child, and this is something that I turn to to give me a creative outlet, for solace and for the pure joy of expressing the colours, shapes and patterns that I see around our lovely coast.

I work out of my home, fitting in a painting schedule around a busy family and work life. Outside of my painting I also work as a clinician in the busy health services - a role that provides massive contrasts to the art world and keeps me on my toes!
