Shop Announcement:

Happy 2020 everyone! 2019 had many highlights but one of my favourites was being chosen to be a competitor on Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas. I was in the advent category making a cross stitched advent calendar. I had the absolute time of my life (having been a fan of the program and Kirstie for ages!) and it gave me the confidence boost I needed to believe in myself and my cross stitch. So here’s to 2020 being a fabulous year, and being the year in which I follow my dreams.

This shop is currently empty. Please check back when we've restocked.

About It's Sew Lottie

It's Sew Lottie

Cross stitch and crochet nerd. Kirstie's Handmade Christmas 2019 competitor in the advent category.

My love for cross stitch, crochet and knitting comes from my family. My Grandma taught me how to knit and crochet as a child and I fondly remember afternoons sitting in her living room surrounded by balls of wool. She passed away around 10 years ago now but I still always think of her when I pick up a crochet hook or knitting needles. My Mum on the other hand always preferred to cross stitch. One day I remember asking her to show me what she was doing. She gave me some spare fabric and thread and the rest is history! Although I'm now a Mummy myself and haven't lived with my parents for many years, we still regularly cross stitch together and I always show my Mum the patterns I create and ask for her feedback before anything is listed for sale. If my Mum likes it then it makes it into the shop! I now live in Winchester with my other half, our 4 year old daughter and 2 cats. My daughter is beginning to show an interest in cross stitch and I can't wait to teach her the skills my Mum and Grandma taught to me.

I was recently on TV championing cross stitch. I took part in Kirstie's Handmade Christmas 2019 in the advent calendar category (still available on Channel 4 catch up if you want to watch it!). I made an advent calendar with 24 individual cross stitch frames hung on a wooden Christmas tree. It was a fabulous experience and I have written about it in more detail on my blog (www.itssewlottie.co.uk). It was an absolute pleasure to champion this wonderful craft and hopefully show it in a fun, modern way.

Anyway, enough of my rambling.... happy stitching everyone!
