Fine Art Printmaking

Hello, my name is Ionee and in my spare time I like to get inky and make handmade prints! I live in the East Midlands and at the moment my favourite print techniques to play with are Lino, Drypoint and Mono printing.
I love the different outcomes you can achieve with all of these. Linocut prints can produce lovely bold and graphic imagery whereas I can achieve more intricate details with mono and drypoint printing.

I am definitely drawn to making imagery that is inspired wildlife and the natural environment but I also like to experiment occasionally with more abstract pieces, which play with surface textures and patterns.

For me, my first real taste of printmaking was when I was on my art foundation. Then a while after graduation I joined my local print workshop in Leicester, for a year, so I could immerse myself further into the world of printmaking and return to something that I loved. Nowadays I try and squeeze it in at home wherever possible!
