There aren't many people sit down to work each day in the company of eagles! Here on the Isle of Skye we are lucky enough to be able to say we do just that!

We are Val and Sadie, a mother and daughter team living and working in the heart of the Hebrides. Sitting at the worktable, looking out on golden eagles and the colourful, undulating landscape of our Hebridean home, we find ourselves amongst a wonderful source of inspiration for dollshouse miniatures! But then again, so is the kitchen and Homewardflight is centred around miniatures which bring to life both nature and the contents of the cake tin, an irresistible combination!

In addition to being a lifelong miniaturist, Sadie is a writer and photographer and fellow miniaturists can find her features and projects in Dolls House & Miniature Scene magazine each month. A member of Artisans in Miniature (AIM), Sadie also regularly writes for their online magazine.
