I’m Sharon and welcome to Handmade By Sharon

I started knitting, crocheting, sewing and embroidering at a young age with the guidance of my mum and her three sisters. I now create a beautiful mix of unique gifts, keepsakes and novelties.

My first knitting venture using fluffy yarn was a number of years ago when I made my cheeky monkey, with his yellow scarf and sunflower scarf charm. Cheeky monkey is now featured as my shop logo.

I work from my home in Essex, creating items for the 14 years and over age group. The reason for this is that I use beads, charms and other embellishments on my designs. These small parts are not really suitable for anyone younger.

I also use end of line or clearance yarns in some of my designs, so that everything is used and nothing gets wasted, my prices reflect this.
