I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Central School of Art & Design, London. After my degree I worked in publishing, designing and illustrating children’s books and also designed and illustrated educational games for Galt Toys.
For over 24 years I taught Art & Graphics at Secondary School Level, in Cambridgeshire, which led to an MA in Art & Design in Education, relating to the motivation created by museum and gallery education to stimulate Art. Following my doctoral research (EdD), I latterly taught in a Specialist School, alongside assessing students for Exam Access Arrangements and providing 1:1 Specialist Support in Further/Higher Education Institutions.
I have always continued to design, paint and make as part of my everyday life. I have a love of nature, natural forms and the environment. My recent acrylic paintings are stylised, colourful and graphic in nature. I have found inspiration for my studies within seasonal flora, my garden, coastal settings and the eclectic objects within my garden studio.
