Hi there, my name is Gemma, aka Gem Dahlia.

My journey into the world of art and crafts has been a long one. Ever since school, I have felt a pull towards creativity and the art world. I searched high and low for every type of art and artist you can think of to discover where my skills are best suited, which previously included an education at College and University. I love learning and researching what I need to grow my skills and keep growing as an artist and a person.

Most of my life, I have practised art. I’m a huge fan of 2D illustrations, mandalas and prints, and have over 10 years of experience in painting and printing from studying Graphic Design, Animation and Fine Art. During College, I learned sewing and embroidery in 2007, made beaded jewellery in 2009 while participating in occupational therapy, started diamond painting in 2020, and started cross-stitching in 2026. The most important journey was in 2024, when I learned to crochet and joined the crochet community. Today I am working on making my favourite hand-crafted items with skills that I continue to develop, and I am passionate about creating items that let others tap into their inner child, fashionista and decorator.

My goal is to make cute and pretty things in relaxing moments, which are inspired by nature, fantasy, magic, patterns, a rainbow of colours, kawaii, manga, and my favourite of all, amigurumi. Currently, I am focused on making crocheted items for you to adopt, play with, wear or decorate your home with.
