Punch needle kits and Supplies

I have always been craftsy and have tried my hand at many a craft in the past. It will go well and then I will get bored. I love creating things but I have very little patience and would give up after a couple of days as it would simply take too long to create anything. That was until I discovered the punch needle (by chance!) It has completely changed my world and I am obsessed (to put it mildly!) So what is punch needle embroidery?

The punch needle is a tool used to push yarn through fabric in order to create a continuous loop stitch on the one side and a flat stitch on the other. The best part either side can be used as the front or you can use a combination of the two. The punch needle is a more up to date form of traditional rug hooking. The technique allows you to create items such as rugs, wall hangings and cushions out of wool.

Once I was hooked I found that sourcing supplies was very dificult and that is how forshelovedwool was started. One to share my love for the punch needle and two to help with the sourcing of supplies.
