Nothing to beat a quilt (and a cat) on your lap on a cold winter's day.

A bit like Red Riding Hood's Granny, I live in a cottage in a forest where I craft my crafts. However, my efforts are often thwarted by my Dubai Rescue Cat called GT (short for Ginger Tom or Gin&Tonic - you choose), who constantly feels he has to assist in the crafting process, whether it's destroying pages of my draft novel if he's not happy with the content; checking the warmth of my sewing machine light ... while I'm stitching; removing any loose quilting threads that may be in his line of sight; or getting dangerously close to the lye in the soap making process. Just as well he has nine lives (and I have access to the real G&T at the end of the day).
I moved to this part of Scotland over a year ago after having spent most of my life in hotter climes. The cold is a shock to my system and the cost of keeping warm and even bigger one to my bank balance. But I am surrounded by lush trees (and snow at the moment) and beautiful, ever-changing skies.
I hope anyone buying my goods will get as much joy from using them as I have in the making.
