Buying from me
My name is Rob. I’m a designer, Dad of two, and the man behind The English Cyclist, where I create unique cycling based art. I’m originally from the misty rolling hills of East Yorkshire, UK, but am currently living in the slightly more jagged hills of the Peak District. My cycling inspiration comes from my upbringing - a small village in the middle of nowhere - cycling was a necessity that turned into a passion for me.
The English Cyclist came to life in the summer of 2013 while really getting into the Tour de France (which Chris Froome went onto win). I spent the whole time watching the event amazed by the colourful party rushing through the landscape. I dedicated my first series of prints to these colours - by illustrating the jerseys of the teams and arranging them in the finishing order. I've since expanded my range but its mostly dedicated to the pro tour.
At the moment, I work my day job, come home and have fun with my family and then devote some time to The English Cyclist. Be that prepping orders or sketching out ideas for the next season.
