quirky and pretty handbuilt tiles and wheel-thrown ceramics

Hi, I'm Elspeth and I make ceramics. I started making as a young child when I attended classes at around 5 years old and after a long break started making again at evening classes as an adult before eventually setting up a studio at home where my bantam hens keep me company. I make a range of colourful wheel thrown and handbuilt items that have a purpose as well as being lovely to look at! I enjoy gardening and I keep tropical fish because I love the idea of my tank being an underwater garden - it has lots of plants as well as fish! My love of birds, plants, water, trees, fish and the countryside and the greens and blues that you see outdoors are often reflected in my work.
