I’m Amy, the artist behind Dots Allowed, creating joyful wildlife art inspired by the British countryside and the little moments that make us stop and smile.

Dots Allowed began as a love for animals and painting, mixed with a curiosity for doing things a little differently. Over time, my signature style evolved — combining traditional watercolour and acrylic techniques with playful, hand-drawn dots that add texture, movement, and a contemporary twist to classic wildlife subjects.

I work from my studio in North Wales, surrounded by nature, where British wildlife constantly finds its way into my sketchbook. From curious puffins and gentle highland cows to garden birds and woodland favourites, every piece starts as an original hand-painted artwork before being carefully turned into prints, cards, and gifts.

I’m inspired by slow moments, coastal walks, muddy boots, and the charm of animals just being themselves. My aim is to create art that feels uplifting, thoughtful, and full of personality — the kind of piece that makes you smile every time you see it.
