Hi, I’m Denise, the maker behind Crafty Knicks.

I’ve been interested in crafts from a very young age, always enjoying making, creating and trying something new. My love of crochet began over 15 years ago, and since then it has become a huge part of my creative life.

I love creating things that are a little bit different. I’m always looking for new ideas, whether that’s a cute crochet dog, a nursery mobile, a colourful cardstock mobile or a new crochet pattern for fellow crafters to enjoy.

I’m particularly inspired by animals, colour, childhood memories and all the little things that make us smile. I love taking an idea that pops into my head and seeing where it leads. Many of my designs start with a simple thought and end up becoming something completely unexpected!

Alongside my handmade pieces, I also design my own crochet patterns, so other makers can create some of my designs themselves.

Everything at Crafty Knicks is designed and created by me from my home in the UK, with lots of care and a little bit of my personality in every piece.

My only weakness? I have far too many things I want to create and never quite know which idea to start next!
