Little pictures and big stories.

Hello. My name is Debbie and I’m an illustrator, screenprinter and I also work five days a week in a finance role. I enjoy drawing fun characters.

Pencils and paper are always nearby for doodle adventures. Ideas often start with either randomness or from my imagination, some come from observation and some reflect daily events. I discovered the magic of printmaking a very long time ago and screen-printing is my favourite way of making pictures. Over the years I have built up my home screen-printing equipment and I try to print as often as I can.

I completed an illustration degree in 2008 and the AOI selected my work for their Images 33 Annual. In 2012, Folksy and India Hobson invited me to be part of their photography project that became ‘Revealing Craft’, a crowd funded publication featuring thirteen Folksy makers/sellers.

In 2013 and 2014, I attended three short courses in picture books and writing. In January 2018, I completed a MA in Illustrated Children’s Books at the Cambridge School of Art at the Anglia Ruskin University.
