“Fused Glass from the Isle of Skye”
I started working with fused glass in 2018 after a weekend course opened my eyes to the incredible creative possibilities of fused glass. It also allowed me to combine my knowledge of science and technology with a new desire to express myself artistically. I have worked in laboratories and studied at master's level in a STEM subject. It amazes me how much my studies and work/life experience influence how I work with glass. I enjoy experimenting and exploring the properties of glass, what causes reactions, and how to confidently develop firing schedules.
