About comedaygoday

Come Day Go Day, where you will find an eclectic mix of unusual handmade jewellery and mixed media art.

Hello, I am a mixed media artist living in Derbyshire, England. I have a BA(Hons)Degree in textile design, but I have enjoyed all types of art from an early age.

In the past, I have designed wallpaper and fabrics, printed scarves and cushions, married my lovely husband, owned an antique shop, painted landscapes, restored an 18th century cottage and loved many dogs.

Three things I couldn't be without..... pyjamas, a dog and a nice cup of tea!

About My Work
2007 saw another diversion for me, when I started to combine my love of old curiosities with my artwork. I incorporate all that interests me and catches my eye into my pieces, the old, the new, the weird, the wonderful. I enjoy things that just seem to happen and the odd mistake that makes something work better than it ever did before.

I have two of my assemblage pieces on permanent exhibition at the Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, Derbyshire. A box assemblage piece called 'Exhibit E', which can be found in the Victorian room of curio cabinets and an assemblage canvas titled 'Field Trip 1918', which is on permanent exhibition in the room dedicated to Professor Sir William Boyd Dawkins, an important local geologist. Copy and paste the link to the Museum's article on these pieces....

I have also exhibited my assemblage work at the Museum and Art Gallery and Silk Museum, Derby.

My jewellery and miniature museums are featured in the 2014 April's edition of 'Little Thing' magazine, with a three page artical and interview.

I hope you enjoy looking at my artwork and jewellery.

Best Wishes,
