You can never have too many buttons

I love buttons of all types, new, vintage and especially handmade. So, my range of stoneware and porcelain buttons is born out of obsession. They also evoke happy memories for me. I was taught to sew by my mother and to knit and crochet by my grandmother and an exciting part of those projects was choosing the buttons, the finishing touch. Often from the family button box, sometimes new from a shop, but always considered. I also learnt early on to give new life to old clothes and accessories by changing the buttons. All my buttons are individually handmade, decorated and glazed.
They are perfect for hand knitted or sewn garments, accessories, and crafts. A great way to give a new lease of life to a favourite jumper or cardigan.
I work as part of Clay Evolution, three ceramicists who met at an advanced ceramics course in London and joined forces to support each other in our development.
