Mixed Media Artist and Photographer

I am an award winning fine art photographer and mixed media artist based in the South East of England. I am particularly interested in exploring the relationship between sexuality and the Catholic faith. Specifically, I want to investigate the shame that the teachings of the church have created for women. I grew up in a lapsed Irish catholic family on my Mum’s side. By the time I was born, no one in my extended family practised the faith, however, there has always been a sense of Catholic guilt and shame, especially during conversations revolving around sex and womanhood. I have always found it interesting how ingrained this sense of shame becomes even after leaving the church which is why I want to explore it in my work. I feel I will have done my job if I can create some art which resonates with other young women struggling with this guilt.

I hand make the majority of the props that I use in my images and will be selling some reproductions of them on here as well as high quality prints of my photographs!
