Welcome to my Shop where you'll see Original Art, Prints and Cards.

I live and work in Stromness; the second biggest town in the Orkney Islands.
My work is very much influenced by my surroundings and I love anything with character especially places that have a story to tell.
I grew up on Stronsay a small island of around 350 inhabitants - it was an amazing place to live, it was exposed to the elements and there was nothing I loved more than to watch the sea on a wild day.
The school was a Primary and Secondary School combined with around 60 pupils, several of the teachers had to fly out from the Mainland each day - the Art, Music, PE and French teachers for example, Art was only 1 hour a week and I loved it!
When I left school I did a Care College Course and then qualified as a Hairdresser which I did until I had my 3 children, then as a stay at home mum I started doing more art.
Now I have a small giftshop that I share with another artist Jeanne Bouza Rose which is run with the help of my best friend Elaine. I'm finding more balance in life after a very busy 20 years raising children and caring for in laws, this is me starting to find a bit more of 'me' time and doing things I love.
