All boxes in the Ultra-thin range now come with a specially designed transport box for mailing out via the large letter post. Smaller, Ultra-thin boxes also come with a protective transport box which can be mailed out in a standard C6 envelope as a large letter.

I make small, empty gift boxes and, yes, selling them is a major challenge and, yes, I love doing it.

I have been making gift boxes since 2013 when,as a volunteer in the newly re-opened Pavilion on our lovely seaside pier, I and a small group of other volunteers were asked to take over the Pavilion shop when the previous person left for pastures new. One of the innovations we introduced was creating boxes for products which came without any individual packaging. We hit upon making boxes from the Pavilion's out of date A3 cinema and events programs using a simple origami technique and these were so popular that we were even able to sell some of the empty boxes. I was hooked. Over the years since then I have developed a number of different methods of constructing decorative boxes of different shapes and sizes, and I now specialise on boxes that are thin enough to be mailed as a Large Letter rather than a parcel and these now form the majority of the ones I make. Selling empty boxes is never going to be easy and my main target market is makers of jewellery and other small items for whom a handmade box can add real value to their products. My boxes have to be very inexpensive to avoid loading the selling price of my customers' products and I enjoy the challenge of creating something that other crafters might find helpful to their businesses.
