Welcome to my quirky world!
My shop is very much like me in that it doesn’t stick to one thing – it celebrates a varied creative field from painting to collage and digital design with a bit of printmaking and drawing thrown in.
Inspired by nature, animals and life's quirks, I design all of the products in my shop myself and all original artwork is by me. I employ production partners for printing and framing services, or shops, in order to bring you greetings cards, prints, party ware, decorations and frames.
I work in my gorgeous, compact studio in the tiny market town of Buckfastleigh in Devon, England, constantly experimenting with new ideas and bringing many of them to life. I paint, draw, cut, rip, measure, stick, peg, scan, print, tidy and develop in ways that I have largely taught myself to do.
In 2017 I completed an Art and Design Diploma at Foundation level for which I earned a Distinction in Fine Art and Printmaking and this spring boarded me into a committed art practice in which I have tried my hands at many things and now make in ways that simply bring me joy.
Over the years I have also undertaken very short courses in painting, illustration, collage and Photoshop, and these have all helped me to hone my creative skills.
I am an environmentally conscious individual and the products in my shop reflect this. They are made using sustainable and biodegradable materials. This is also the case with my packaging although sometimes I may re-use bubble wrap if absolutely necessary when sending items in the post.
My work has featured in many exhibitions in the South West of England including at Artizan Gallery in Torquay, Sea Dog Gallery in Exmouth, the Bedroom Artists Collective in Totnes, John Lewis in Exeter and The Green Hub at Buckfast Abbey.
I have also facilitated Collage and Mixed Media workshops for the Bedroom Artists Collective, The South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and privately.
