Pebbles, seaglass, beach treasures and driftwood

I previously worked in the NHS and have recently semi-retired, which gives me the chance to make and create. I've always had busy hands and enjoyed sewing, embroidery and other crafts. Creating pictures and art work from beachcombing finds means I get to do what I enjoy whilst at the same time getting some fresh air and exercise-what's not to love! I started with seaglass just in the last few months, and its quickly become an obsession, but I also love the beaches of Donegal for their wonderfully tactile pebbles. I especially love finding odd shaped pebbles and working out what I can turn them into-A sail? A walrus? A pram?

I'm now beginning to think about taking my work to craft fairs-my picture above is my shop logo re-created on an old slate roof tile.

Buying from me

I love my craft room-it's my happy place. I make all sorts of things from all sorts of materials: wool felt, slate, yarn, pebbles and driftwood. I love working with wool felt, it comes in the most beautiful colours and textures, but I also hoard vintage jewellery and I like to incorporate that if I can. If you see something you like, but want it personalized, please contact me and I'll try to help.
